Who is the owner of Aura Gem?
Hi, my name is Tyrone Blake, and I am the owner of Aura Gem. I am originally from Baytona, NL, but I am attending university in St. John's, NL.
When was Aura Gem created?
The logo was created first, then shortly after came the domain and website; which launched on July 21, 2022.
Why do we do what we do?
Personally, I think crystals should be for everybody, it doesn't necessarily have to be a spiritual thing, it can solely be for aesthetic purposes as well. But if it is for spiritual use, that's great!
Why the name "Aura Gem"?
Originally, I had come up with a few names of what this company could have been called; Gemsium, Northern Gems, Surplus Crystals and of course Aura Gem. I had asked my friends to vote on which names they preferred and Aura Gem won.
Also, I love puns, so I ultimately gravtitated towards Aura Gem so I could use the motto "Remember, you're a gem" because it kinda sounds like Aura Gem.
Why did you start a crystal shop in the first place?
I used to always go walking along the beach with my grandmother before she passed and we'd collect rocks that caught our attention. So, I guess you could say my Nan was the start of my crystal / rock collecting addiction.
